Biography

Daniel Korn is the Director of Corporate Affairs at Microsoft Latin America, in charge of managing Microsoft's government affairs in 46 countries in the region. Daniel arrives at Microsoft Latin America from Microsoft's headquarters in Redmond, Washington, where he served on the Intellectual Property Global Policy and Strategy team, with special emphasis on China and Brazil. He received his B.M. violin of the Juilliard School, B.A. magna cum laude from Yale University, Juris Doctor from the University of Virginia Law School, and Law Degree (Reválida) from the University of Buenos Aires. Before joining Microsoft, Daniel worked as a lawyer in law firms in the United States and Argentina, including Sullivan & Cromwell and Allende & Brea. Daniel is co-author of the article "Facilitating The Cloud: The Regulation of Data Protection as an Engine of National Competitiveness in Latin America," published by the Inter-American Law Review of the University of Miami School of Law, also published by Inmaterial Property from the Externado de Colombia University. His article, "Technology at the Service of the Community" was published by Revista UNO (Spain). Daniel is also co-author of the article "Cloud Computing: The Reconversion of the Network Space" published by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) in its magazine Integración & Comercio.
