In this panel, the potential of the Internet to reduce social inequalities will be discussed. Likewise, the importance of its adoption for the effective participation of citizens in the economic, political and social spheres will be reviewed. The panelists will also discuss how digital skills and digital culture contribute to closing the digital divide and the implications it has in terms of equal opportunities and socio-economic mobility.
