Biography

Wilson Peres is a senior economic affairs officer at the Division of Production, Productivity and Management of the UN Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) in Santiago, Chile. He was previously the Chief of ECLAC’s Industrial and Technological Development Unit, Investment and Corporate Strategies Unit, and Innovation and ICT Unit. He has been a consultant to the OECD Development Center, the Organization of American States and the Mexican Government, as well as a visiting research fellow and lecturer at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD), professor of Industrial Organization and Theory of the Firm at the CIDE in Mexico City, and professor of Development Strategies at the Universidad de Chile in Santiago. His publications include The New Digital Revolution.
